All you need to do is look them up on any website, copy and paste definition, context, and significance BUT it needs to be related to the lecture (the class I am taking right now) otherwise it would be considered as off topic. I have attached key term number 1 for you as an example, so your job is doing the same for the 9 key terms left. I will attach some readings that relate to class if you have time you can find the significance and context as well as the relationship between key terms.

I expect answers will vary slightly in length in accord with the specific term;

however, you should write at bare minimum 1 paragraph on each one (between

about 4-7 sentences depending on their length). Each term is worth 5 points for a

total of 25. You will need to place the term within its historical context, define it by

capturing the major points, and explain why the term is significant to our historical

understanding and/or our understanding of contemporary global society. Where

applicable, it is important that you use concrete historical examples. Very important

note: all of this this will inevitably require relating the term to certain other key

terms from the same and/or different lectures. Read your notes, review power

points, make analytical connections. Practice, practice, practice. Context is worth 1

point, definition is worth 2, and significance is worth 2 for a total of 5 for each term.

For context, you need to pretend your Teaching Assistants know little about the key terms. Locate it in

its historical moment; give background information that is necessary for

understanding the key term, both definition and significance. For definition, this

part of the answer will vary based on what the key term is. In essence, you are

identifying the facts of the key term. Define it. This could entail discussing the

historical actors involved along with their objectives, the term as a historical

process, the term as mentality or ideological belief, the term as a scientific concept,

the power relations involved, the environmental dynamics, and so on. Significance is

more open-ended, but still needs to be founded on logical and facts-based thinking.

What are the historical effects of the term? Why should we find it important in the

way it shaped our modern world and/or our relations with our surrounding

environment?

You are also expected to use reading content for at least 3 of the key terms. Failure

to use reading material in your answers of at least 3 key terms will result in

significant point deduction. Hint, review your readings and reading notes, and catch

up on readings if you’ve fallen behind.

Here is Example of key term number 1 that I find.

The Columbian Exchange is a general term used to describe all the things that were transferred by Europeans (from Europe, Asia, and Africa) to the Americas, and vice versa, during the age of exploration and colonization. The Columbian Exchange refers to a period of cultural and biological exchanges between the New and Old Worlds. This includes the transfer of agricultural goods, such as plants and animals, manufactured goods, as well as the exchange of foreign diseases such as smallpox, influenza, and typhus. Beginning after Columbus’ discovery in 1492 the exchange lasted throughout the years of expansion and discovery. The Columbian Exchange impacted the social and cultural makeup of both sides of the Atlantic. As we discussed in lecture, advancements in agricultural production, evolution of warfare, increased mortality rates and education are a few examples of the effect of the Columbian Exchange on both Europeans and Native Americans. Studying the Columbian Exchange is a way to better understand the relationship between the Native Americans and European explorers, conquerors, and colonizers.
