2) Sample Policy Brief: Understanding US Obligations to Prevent
and Respond to Gender-Based Violence
Due:
Journal Response 7 (optional by 11:00 am): Young and Quinn identify
several characteristics of a good problem description in bullet points (eg,
building a coherent argument that is both convincing and easy to follow,
coherent and focused development of each argument in the sub-section,
etc.). Choose two of these characteristics and evaluate how well the
sample policy brief satisfies them. Be specific in describing how the
writers fulfill/ fail to fulfill the characteristics.
